OUR MISSION
Enriching, educating and supporting the Halton community through the celebration and affirmation of the history, culture, and lives of Halton's diverse lesbian, gay, bisexual, transexual, two-spirited and transgender, intersex, queer, queer questioning, asexual and ally (LGBTTTIQQAA) communities.
OUR PURPOSE
HOPE's purpose is rooted in the understanding that oppression and systematic acts of violence perpetuate homophobia and inequality. HOPE is dedicated to education, support, outreach, raised awareness, and resource development in support of the LGBTTTIQQAA community.
OUR VISION
HOPE strives to be a leader in promoting respect and equality within all persons, systems and organizations in Halton in order to eradicate homophobia and all forms of discrimination and hate crimes in order to promote an inclusive and harmonious Halton community.
GOALS
To educate the community about homophobia, biphobia and transphobia and discrimination, and to increase community awareness, understanding and acceptance of persons of different sexual orientations and gender identies.
